Which hook and which thread to choose to start with?
When you start, we advise you to start with a size 4/5 crochet hook for wool of size 3/4.
Choose a light-coloured cotton wool such as white, beige or cream. The advantage is that you will see what you are doing better and it will be easier to count the number of stitches and the number of rows.
When you are more comfortable with the crochet technique, you will be able to move towards more fancy yarns and wools, darker or multicoloured colours.
