Soutache is a haberdashery technique formerly used to sew military uniforms. But today, we will use the soutache technique to make costume jewellery. The soutaches often have the shape of a raban, braid or cord. Their materials can vary: viscose, rayon, cotton, wool, silk, nylon, or polyester. This technique makes it possible to create beautiful jewellery often with bright and flamboyant colours. PureCrystal crystals can be added for even more sparkle! Or pearls, rhinestones, shells or feathers. Soutache jewellery has rounded shapes that undulate a bit like waves.
