The average size of a knitting needle is 40 cm, but they can measure between 20 and 60 cm. The smaller the needle, the easier it is to use. It also depends on the work you want to do.
It is preferable to choose your needle according to the type of work you wish to carry out.
For example, to make a blanket, opt for very long needles because they can hold more stitches. On the other hand, for small works such as placemats, choose small needles.
Be careful, some wools are more or less resistant to tension. Take into account the needle diameter mentioned on the balls of wool.
